As I approached the trail, I saw a Camino friend from Ohio, so we walked together. I was in my nighttime clothes - comfy pants and t-shirt - instead of my hiking clothes, as I thought I'd likely find a hotel and decide again to stay in the city. Surprisingly, it was the most comfortable walk yet.
It was a pretty easy walk and we quickly got to the town I planned to stay in. At lunch, a bride and groom came to the bar for a drink. I gave the bride a blessed medal that I brought for pilgrims, which was met with applause from the guests and a hug from the bride.

We had a little left in us, so we pressed on to the next town, a short 2k walk. Along the way, I did an interview for my documentary, which was only my second one. I am finally getting to know my fellow pilgrims enough to ask them questions and permission to include them in my film.
We arrived in Rabe de las Calzadas and checked into a private albergue. Once again, I was reunited with old friends (the Tres Amigas and the doctor from Germany) and met some new faces. We had a very filling, four course meal at the albergue just before mass started. On a full stomach and two glasses of wine, I didn't quite feel I was in the correct state to go to church!
I plan to walk two hours tomorrow and then go to mass at the next big village. Not sure where I'll end up tomorrow. I think only a handful of cities I've stayed in are the ones I had on my "official" Excel spreadsheet. Learning to go with the flow!
