Little groups have already seemed to be forming. I lost my group last night and joined another for dinner. I know it will keep changing as people develop different paces and take days off, as I did today. Last night at dinner another woman who was staying in Pamplona and I teased everyone about how far they had to walk today, as we drank our wine. Of course we have to trek the 22K tomorrow...

This morning I got my first chocolate con churros of the trip, which was delicious. Then I walked a bit as I waited for the albergue to be cleaned. I rechecked in and then went for lunch and walked a bit more.

My pack was supposed to come this afternoon but it has not. I have been very patient as I have waited for a week now but when the albergue volunteer called and was met with yet another uninformed, unconcerned person, I lost it. Yes, the airline may pay to replace my clothes but there are things I brought for the trip that I can't replace. So, today is not a good day for me. I am going to get out my prayer list I have been carrying to try to take my mind off my troubles. If you read this, would you help me storm St. Anthony (patron of lost items) with prayers to deliver my bag?

ReplyDeleteTrust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Erin, I pray for you today, that the challenges you are facing here can be found as God straightening your path. That you will see the way He is working through this and that you will be strengthened and encouraged to continue your journey in the knowledge of his constant presence and limitless love.
Thank you, Drew. I am reminded that when we are at our lowest and have given up all hope, our hope is in the Lord.
DeleteGlad you got your churros con chocolate!
