Best Laid Plans

24 hours of traveling, door to door. That includes a flight delay, changing said flight, a lost backpack, and Spanish Jason Bateman doppelganger helping me file a lost luggage claim."Jason's" eyes lit up when I said in was in Spain to walk the Camino; he has walked it three times.

I had only about two hours to explore the area around my hotel last night before I collapsed from exhaustion. Well, I suppose I could have walked when my eyes popped open at 1:45 am and didn't rest til 4 am, but I stayed in the warm bed, willing myself to sleep.

So now I sit in a train station - in the same clothes - unable to change my pre-purchased ticket. I had hoped to be able to leave later so I could pick up my bag in a few hours, but my plans seem to be going out the window this trip. I'll be on my way to St. Jean Pied de Port in a half hour, where I hope my bag will arrive tomorrow or Friday. This will delay the start of my walk, but give me more time to enjoy SJPdP.

The journey continues....
