Phat Girls Show

Last night I had the opportunity to hang out with some actors and filmmakers during a panel discussion on the Phat Girls Show on Intellectual Radio.

The show is hosted by Kat Blade, who has been in three films of mine. She won "Best Actress" for her work in "The Created." (watch her performance here)

On set of the upcoming short film "HeadLines."

Other panelists last night were Harold Dennis, who worked with me on both "The Created" and "HeadLines," Christopher Nolen, Ra Fleming, Jeff Dillard and Eric Vaughn-Smith. We discussed the Chicago film community, Tyler Perry, females in filmmaking, a bit of entertainment law, and agents. Oh, and Harold ate popcorn. :)
You can watch the show here: http://bambuser.com/v/3692425.

After the show we all stuck around to chat and eat... and friend each other on Facebook. Because that's what you do on film sets these days. The next day everyone is connected on their social networks. (By the way, my twitter is @DASH_entertain if you haven't found me there yet.)

It was a really great night to network and hear stories from other indie directors. I hope to work with these gentlemen in the future and wish them all the best of luck on their projects!  And, of course, best of luck to our host, Kat, on her adventure in Africa!
